Our staff is one of the finest in the area. Ms. Sheila Provost and her staff strive to provide the best child care possible. For more information call the office or drop by for a visit. Our hours are from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We offer child care from six weeks through school age. We also offer before and after bus service to five area schools.

Val Verde Child Care is a ministry of Val Verde Baptist Church. The ministry was an answer to parent’s prayers because it provided and still provides a safe place to bring children with a Christian atmosphere. The doors of the child care center opened in 1993 with loyal and dedicated employees. Many of the faces from the first year are still here today. One of those faces is Ms. Sheila Provost, Director of the child care center.

Val Verde Child Care is licensed under the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services Child Care Licensing Division that sets forth “Minimum Standard Rules for Licensed Child-Care Centers.” A copy of these standards is available for review in our office.  A Criminal History Check is performed on all employees. All employees are Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified. They are trained to recognize Child Abuse, Shaken Baby Syndrome and Early Childhood Brain Development. In addition, employees must receive fifteen hours of training annually on various topics dealing with early childhood. These hours are obtained by attending seminars, staff meetings and workshops held after 6:00 PM and on Saturdays. Our employees do an outstanding job and we are proud of each and every one of them.
